August 14, 2007

Stasi 2.0So, let’s see if the german government is visiting my site. Therefor I joined the project UBERWACH, wich protocols all visit’s from government IP ranges. See the little image in the sidebar? That’s the magic…

I really hope my site doesn’t appear in the protocol!

New law on ‘cybercrime’

August 14, 2007

Last sunday the new ‘anti-hacking law‘ takes place here in germany. But what did that mean for german VXers (and also in the EU)? As it’s now illegal to distributing ‘tools’ that could be used to do a cybercrime, I will never again give away binaries (wich I already decided in september 2006). I don’t know how source code is handled, but since plain text can’t be used to do crime I think this will not count as tools, hopefully. Anyway, I just have an eye that I don’t release anything on servers in the EU. Let’s see and hope they don’t take down people doing security research for fun and job but the criminals.

What’s going on?!

Much! Next time I visit philet0ast3r to celebrate his birthday, and rRlf‘s too of course. Currently I work on a small article, wich you will find here in a week or so. Kinda lazy right now, sorry ;).

Btw, visit the Δ forum!

The most notorious group in the VX scene 29A keep being active, but not the usual way. They stop to producing zine’s (maybe forever) and setup a forum, in wich they will releae their source and other people are still able to contribute.

Quote at the 29A site:

after a time considering about the future of the group, decided to stop activites as we used to do until now. This means the group will continue active at the moment but we probably will not release more magazines. Our intention is to open a forum so members can publish their creations as soon as they are ready. We also invite anyone to continue contributing to 29A as usual. We are in the hope this way of doing things will revitalize the group and also the vx scene. The way of contributing to the forum will be similar to the way we used to select magazine contributions: members will accept/reject stuff. As soon as a contribution is accepted it will be published in the forum

Here I am again…

So, if you recently visited vx-dia.de.vu you landed on a error page of an webhost. That’s because Pugnax (Retro’s hosting) is down. Hopefully it will be back soon, and my reglulary blog too. Until that happen I use the blog here, at wordpress.com as temporary site. Everyday hustling… :)
